Job Context:

The SR. HR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the day to day HR functions are performed in accordance with RI policies and procedures and HR best practice and to provide direct advice and guidance to Program Managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate and delivers agreed plans and strategies with some strategic input.

Assist in the regular review and roll out of HR policies and procedures in compliance to RI’s standards and the evolving national labor law.

Ensure the consistent implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures across Cox Bazaar program.

Lead the HR operation in ensuring commitment towards safeguard awareness, gender diversity etc.

To work in close collaboration with HR manager to achieve the HR objective and other GSO requirement.

Lead the HR functions ensuring professional service delivery to all other departments

Recruitment:

In collaboration with the Head of Cox’s Bazar Programs and HR Manager, assist in the development of staffing and recruitment plan to ensure that each team is staffed appropriately, according to need and funding availability, in an efficient and timely manner.

Ensure transparent, timely and efficient recruitment process.

In coordination with the HR Manager determine salaries for selected candidates and support the preparation of employment offer.

Ensure pre-employment requirements are submitted and personnel file with documentation according to HR checklist is opened for new staff on a timely basis.

Ensure that all staff have undergone orientation.

Compensation and benefits

Ensure the timely and efficient payroll preparation for accurate data on donor code, number of days, benefits.

Ensure the proper and accurate tracking of leave.

Employee Relations and Team Management

In coordination with HR Manager ensure the timely processing of new contract, contract extension, staff transfer, promotions and other change of status.

Manage processes related to disciplinary actions, staff separation, and termination.

Respond to employee related queries and provide services to all HR related inquiries and requests.

Constantly communicate RI Bangladesh Employee Manual along with other HR policies to staff.

In coordination with HR Manager make sure that employees’ files are auditable at all times as per RI standards and any relevant donors’ requirements.

To ensure that staff directory is updated regularly.

Support employee engagement activities;

Educational Requirements:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) in HRM

BBA /MBA in Human Resource Management and/or Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Experience Requirements:

At least 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements:

Age 25 to 35 years

Both males and females are allowed to apply

Experience of developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and systems.

Direct experience of organizing large scale recruitment

INGO experience is strongly preferred.

Ability to prioritize and deal with competing demands.

Previous experience of staff supervision and capacity building.

Fluent spoken and written Bengali and English.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

A team builder with excellent people skills; culturally sensitive and has the ability and interest to identify and work with a multicultural team.

Willingness to be relocated in Cox’s Bazar

Salary:

As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Salary Review: Yearly

Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.

Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
